Midnight Madness
Tonight is a great night for all of college basketball. It is the first time that we can officially practice as a team. The rules have changed a bit in the last few years allowing the whole team to practice together beginning on September 15th for a maximum of 2-hours a week. The difference beginning this evening is that we can now practice (with the whole team) for a maximum of 4-hours a day and no more than 20-hours a week. Furthermore, we must give our student-athletes at least 1-day off during each week. Tonight, we will practice from 7-9:30 and then we will go with two practices tomorrow and Sunday. We will do a lot of teaching this weekend, so it will not be a knockdown, dragout practice. Our players will be see a lot of film and walkthrough situations.
We will be asking a lot from our kids in these next few days, but the confidence is up (and so are the expectations!!!) and our guys believe. We have a great group and our staff is very excited to get going.
If there are any questions, please ask.

Dane,
I wish you the best of luck in your coaching career. You are one of my favorite former Hoosiers, and thank you for the time you put into our program. I remember your abilities on the court and have always seen you as a great coach. Hopefully we’ll see you on the sidelines at Assembly Hall someday! Good luck with your season! Go Mastodons!
