Scouting our Opponents

We are nearing the point to where we must begin to scout the teams that we will be playing. Beginning with Huntington, we will view our head to head matchup with them from last season as well as games that they played towards the end of the year. The good part about the beginning of the year is that each team basically knows nothing about the other. Yet, teams are constantly trying to gain the edge, so the next best thing is to go back to the previous year.

As a staff, we try to stay two or three games ahead of the team we are actually playing. For example, Tony Jasick is assigned to scout Huntington. Jeff Tungate, is assigned to scout Notre Dame and Terry Johnson is assigned to Valpo. They are currently working on their games.

Today, we will be back to full strength for the first time in a couple of days. I would share the injury report, but rules will not allow me to talk about the particulars of injuries. Once again, I am under the impression that we really need to play someone else in order to gauge where we are at. Our guys are really getting antsy. While practices are coming along, we must continue build on our progress.
