Tomorrow, we will face a relentless Indiana St. team. As I watched them play the Hoosiers yesterday, I couldn’t help but notice how hard they play. However, we are playing better and if we can defend and take care of basketball, we will put ourselves in position to win the game. While the Sycamores are solid, we have the ability to be just as good.

Here’s to the first of many w’s this season. As exausted as we looked in the first two games, we were completely the opposite in terms of energy against Rochester lastnight. Dewitt Scott shot lights out as we turned on the heat in the 2nd half. While we looked sloppy at times offensively, I was very impressed with our defensive effort in the 2nd half. Our kids are really beginning to understand how to work together defensively and our emphasis will continue to be geared towards guarding the basketball in practice. A couple issues we are focusing is contesting all shots and passes, not allowing penetration and making the opponents post catches two feet or more off the block.
Tomorrow in practice, we will not be going long, but we will go very hard. Our improvement must continue.
